Fikesová, Veronika
This work deals with riding competition: eventing. In the literary section is described historical development and current form of eventing competitions. The work describes breeds, which are used in this discipline. In the work are referred our most important riders and horses. The work includes statistical evaluation of the effect breed, age, year of start and sex on the performance of the horses. Data was used from the Summary of sport horses of 2005 and 2015. These data are issued by the Czech Equestrian Federation. Data was further processed and statistically analysed in the program STATISTICA 2012. Sport performance is evaluated by the auxiliary points (PPB) Statistically conclusiveness effect on performance was found for breed, age and for year of start. The most performance breed was Irish sport horse with PPB 17,4. The best results were achieved by horses from 13 to 16 years old (PPB 11,81). The most used breed was Czech warmblood and English thoroughbred in the Czech Republic. Better performance had imported breeds than horses born in the Czech Republic. Horses in 2015 had better performance than horses in 2005. We can see increasing tendency of performance. At the conclusion of the work is to compare the situation in the Czech Republic for the past ten years, where we compare the gradual change in their representation of the sex, breeding and country of birth.

Brudňaková, Michaela
This diploma thesis deals with the performance of show jumping horses in the Czech Republic, as well as worldwide. The theoretical overview describes the historical development and also the current situation in the show jumping discipline, presented are the binding rules for this discipline, and the subsequent chapter mentions particular show jumping horse breeds which are bred for performing on the highest levels. The thesis deals with the statistical evaluation of particular factors, such as age, sex, breed, coat color and year of start, and their individual impact on the performance of horses. Data for analysis have been gathered from the overview of sporting horses (“prehľad športových koní” ) published on web pages of the Czech Equestrian Federation and web pages of the FEI (International Federation for Equestrian Sports) from years 2010 and 2016. Statistically significant impact has been proven for all above mentioned factors, while the coat color has been proven as statistically significant only in the year 2010. It is possible to claim that horses of Isabella color are statistically the least successful. Zangersheide has been evaluated as the most successful horse breed in the Czech Republic with the highest performance AAP 5,14. Stallions are considered the sex with the highest performance with AAP 4,44, and the best results have been reached by horses in the age category 7-12 years, AAP 4,02 in particular. In addition, the category of horses aged 7-12 years showed also the highest amount of starts in competitions, 22 starts in average. The overall performance in 2016 has significantly improved compared to 2010, increasing by AAP 0,42 in average. Zangersheide has been proven the most successful horse breed worldwide with 710,95 AAP, followed by the Holsteiner Horse with 706,55 AAP and the Oldenburg Horse as the third most successful breed with 673,44 AAP. The worldwide situation has also improved when compared to 2010, and the performance keeps increasing. Furthermore, the lowest and also the highest rankings increase as well. Among the age categories, horses aged 17 and more years are the leading category worldwide, while the youngest horses reach the lowest amount of AAP. Considering the factor of sex, the best results have been proven for mares, while geldings earned the lowest amounts of AAP. It is possible to observe and positively conclude that the world trend in many respects coincides with the trend in the Czech Republic, and it is a matter of time when the rankings in the Czech Republic reach the worldwide levels.

The aim of the study was evaluate sporting breeds of horses used for show jumping sport in the Czech Republic. In the literary section is describes the show jumping sport, history of show jumping sport and characterization of the breeds which are used in the Czech Republic and worldwide in the show jumping sport. The work insludes statistical evaluation of the effect breed on the performance of the horses. Performance is evaluated by the auxiliary points PPB to one start. Auxiliary points expressed the preformance of the horses. The points are calculeted according to the real resulsts in the competitions in the criminal points. The criminal points are converted to the auxiliary points. Data was used from the Summary of sport horses of 1995, 2005 and 2014, issued by the Czech Equestrian Federation. Data was further processed and statistically analyzed. Statistical conclusiveness of the breed on the performance was confirmed, in some cases it is also highly statistically conclusive. Breeds were further tested to determine which breed is the most performance and the most appropriate for show jumping sport. In the 1995 it was found, that the most performance for show jumping sport of the ranking top 300 horses are germans warmblood breeds with 6,25 PPB. In the 2005 was the most performance breed hanoverian horse with 8,30 PPB. In the 2014, besides germans warmblood breeds with average value of 8,28 PPB come to the foreground other warmblood breeds with 9,44 PPB and breeds like belgian warmblood with 8,07 PPB and holland warmblood with 7,75 PPB. In the statistics of all started horses in the 2014 was the most performance breed belgian warmblood with a value of 8,81 PPB. Statistically conclusiveness effect on performance was found also for sex. When the most performance are stallions with 4,56 PPB, then mares with 3,91 PPB and the geldings with 3,75 PPB are least performance.
Zhodnocení vlivu importu zahraničních plemen koní na sportovní výkonnost populace teplokrevných koní v České republice
Makovská Krčová, Sylvie
The objective of the thesis was to evaluate the effect of foreign sports breeds of horses in the breeding of warm-blooded horses upgraded for jumping performance in the Czech Republic. The source for creating a database were data from show jumping competitions obtained from the Přehledu sportovních koní ČR (Survey of sports horses of the Czech Republic) 2000 -- 2009. The sports performance of the horses is expressed as PPB (average auxiliary points). The data were processed statistically using the GLM linear model in the UNISTAT 5.1 statistical programme. If the effect was statistically significant we used Scheffe's method of comparison to compare the multiple differences in the values. On the basis of statistical evaluations of groups of breeds representing the individuals born in the Czech Republic we discovered that the pedigree group AUTWB4 achieved the highest PPB value (4.52), i.e. 50% blood of the Austrian warm-blooded horse. The most numerous pedigree group in the entire population of the monitored sports horses based on the number of PPB points (14.36%) was the group where no dominant breed prevailed in the pedigree. The most frequently used foreign breed in breeding horses for show jumping performance is the Holstein warm-blooded horse. In evaluations of the performance of horses based on the country of their birth the highest PPB values (4.25) were achieved by individuals born abroad. In terms of the effect of the year of their start the highest PPB value (3.37) was achieved by horses starting in 2009 when also most of the PPB values (10.72%) were recorded. Evaluations of the differences between the sexes showed that stallions achieved the highest PPB values (3.84) and that the most numerous group were mares (47.20%). In terms of the differences in the ages of the horses the highest PPB value (3.43) was achieved in the group of 9-year-old horses and the most numerous group in show jumping competitions based on the number of PPB's (14.91 %) were 6-year-old horses.
